Huge improvement on last week and the 1 1/2 hour training session did the boys the world of good, rucking was excellent they looked more organised in the backs and they kept their shape in the line well.

Valley Dragons who are a mix of Abercrave and Cwmtwrch had 13 players so we agreed to drop the flankers and make scrums non contested and Number 8 was not allowed to pick up

First half Vardre looked the better side keeping possesion well, rucking and mauling recycling the ball and attacking well, Two first half tries from Calum Thomas Saw Vardre go into half time 12-5 up

Second half was pretty much more of the same although the Valley dragons saw much more of the ball and with some big runners hit our defence which held up well for the most part, Morgan Davies scored a great try mid way throught the second half and had a superb match from the centre probably my man of the match making the score 19 - 5

Dragons then hit back with a good team try making the score 19-12 and then with 2 mins to go Calum makes a great break from a scrum on the half way line getting us near the try line the ball is recycled by the forwards and Josh Mcfenton is there for his signature 5m crash over the line....Match ends 26-12 to Vardre
